01Where is my BikeLab data stored?+

Motorcycle profiles, measurements, photos, ride recordings, reports, and settings are stored locally on your device.

BikeLab does not provide an account or cloud synchronization for garage data.

02How do I back up my data?+

Open BikeLab → Settings → Backup → Export JSON.

Choose a secure location using the iOS sharing interface.

To restore a backup, use BikeLab → Settings → Backup → Import JSON.

Importing a backup replaces the corresponding local BikeLab data. Keep an additional copy of any important backup.

03How do I delete my data?+

Open BikeLab → Settings → Local Data → Reset App Data.

This removes saved motorcycles, measurements, ride recordings, reports, calibrations, photos, and setup notes from the device.

Resetting local data does not cancel an App Store subscription or remove purchase history.

04How do I change permissions?+

Open the iOS Settings app, find BikeLab, and review its permissions.

Depending on the tool, BikeLab may need camera access for guided measurements and photos; photo access for selecting motorcycle images; motion access for assisted measurements and ride analysis; location access for speed-based ride and launch tools; and background location for an active recording while the app is minimized or the device is locked.

You can deny or revoke a permission at any time. Features requiring that permission may become unavailable, but manual tools remain available where supported.

05Why is an automatic measurement unavailable?+

Check that the required permission has been granted, your device supports the requested feature, the motorcycle and phone are stable, the area has sufficient lighting for camera-guided measurements, the requested reference points are visible, and you followed the preparation instructions shown by the tool.

If an assisted method remains unavailable, use the manual method where offered.

06Why will Cornering Analysis or Launch Consistency not start?+

These tools require motion and location permissions and work best with the phone firmly mounted to the motorcycle.

Confirm that motion access is enabled, precise location access is enabled, background location access is enabled when requested, the phone is firmly mounted, no other BikeLab recording session is active, and the motorcycle is stationary during launch preparation.

Use ride tools only in a legal and suitable controlled environment. Never interact with the phone while riding.

07How do I restore BikeLab Pro?+

Open the BikeLab Pro screen and select Restore purchases.

Make sure the device is signed into the Apple Account used for the original purchase, the device has an internet connection, and App Store services are available.

BikeLab does not receive your Apple password or payment-card information.

If restoration still fails, contact support and include the purchased plan and approximate purchase date. Do not email a complete receipt unless requested.

08How do I cancel a subscription?+

Subscriptions are managed by Apple.

Open iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → BikeLab.

You can view or cancel the monthly or annual subscription there. A lifetime purchase does not renew.

09Can I use BikeLab without BikeLab Pro?+

Yes. Manual tools are available without a subscription where a manual method is supported.

BikeLab Pro provides expanded access to automatic tools, session tools, motorcycles, and dashboard options.

10Are BikeLab measurements certified?+

No.

BikeLab is a practical garage and setup assistant. It is not certified inspection, engineering, diagnostic, or professional measurement equipment.

Verify important values against the motorcycle manufacturer's documentation and consult a qualified technician when necessary.

Safety

Prepare first. Interact only when stopped.

Secure the motorcycle before taking measurements. For ride and launch tools, mount the phone firmly before moving, never hold or operate the phone while riding, obey traffic laws, use a suitable controlled environment, and stop immediately if conditions are unsafe.
